The Qashar

To anyone who happens across this scrawl,
I find it disheartening that in the face of the scrutinies and sulking
of Chaos, Oblivion and Evil, Good and Light has decided to falter and
conform to the standard that is expected of them.
The Qashar are a group of proud, organized and powerful warriors. As a
Sentinel and a member of Eleusis, I do not support the Qashar, partly
because I am ordered not to, and partly because I have no issue with the
city of Hashan and do not see the point in the skirmishes against her
gates.
That being said, I think it is foolish for Shallam to so unequivocally
deny support of the Qashar. When the Qashar rides through the continent
a very real fear that I have seen and heard can be felt through those
that oppose Shallam. Their methods are a necessary means to an otherwise
unattainable end. When the Qashar are not around, I watch as Shallam's
citizens are huddled into shops and clusters of guards to protect from
the onslaught they cannot oppose.
Today I was informed that if a Qashar is to go out raiding, upon his
return he would find Shallam's guards blocking his entrance, the crux of
my aversion. I do not claim to know or understand the edicts of the
Qashar, I've read no manifesto on the group, but I judge them by their
actions. They have always helped me in a manner becoming of those that
seek to uphold justice and freedom.
Do not be foolish Shallam. Embrace the Qashar, warriors of
righteousness, allow them their rightful place as the crusaders of
Light, a frontline of your defence which you, I and the entire continent
know you need. In this same breath I humbly implore, Lord Pentharian,
that You too would come to see the Qashar for the ideals they uphold.
Darkness, chaos, evil, oblivion itself can only flourish if good men
stand by idle, their hands shackled by discrimination.
Penned by my hand on the 19th of Scarlatan, in the year 528 AF.
