Hail, users of Devotion!
The use of Devotion is a privilege, as it is something that binds
Priests and Paladins while furthering our latent ability to serve the
Light and promote Creation. Devotion, a marvelous gift bestowed upon us
by the Divine, is unique in this aspect. However, this power must be
kept sacrosanct.
The Church is very closely linked to this power of Devotion. We have
been entrusted with custody of its usage, to ensure that its power is
used in a proper and straightforward manner. This glorious power is not
a simple tool to be used for one's amusement, or to sate one's
bloodlust. I am reminding all of you out there that improper use of the
abilities granted you by Devotion will result in that power being
revoked.
As we use our power of Devotion in the proper manner, we bring glory to
Creation. When used properly, the reward is far greater than the effort
put into restraining yourself from poor use of it.
With Valour in mind always,
Archprelate Ellodin Longshanks, Champion of Elysia
