To Jaizsur and Ashtan

Greetings to you.
First I adress Jaizsur, as the Champion of the Smith.
My former friend, I was unaware that you were such a fool, I had thought
you a wise man at one time. Now as the drivel spews forth from your
mouth, I am rather appalled and embarassed for you. I figured surely you
would know better than to address a God in such manner, as if He would
possibly have to answer to a mortal like yourself. What airs you put on!
What a haughty spirit. Does the God of Oblivion know you consider
yourself so high and mighty? Or does He simply not care because you do
not factor into his larger plans? I would suggest that you learn the
proper address to those who control your life in Their hands. And if you
wish a response, perhaps speak to those who would answer you. Having the
Temerity to challenge a God outright is simply foolishness.
And to the City of Ashtan, the Bastion of the North. I speak to you as
Sir Goryllin Dawyn, a traveler who has traversed the stones of your
roads often and had many a friendly drink in your tavern and
conversation with your citizens.
Through the century of my activity as Knight and defender of the
Innocent, I have had quite an interesting and sustaining relationship
with the City of Ashtan. Its had its bumps and bruises, but always we
have retained the same respectful relationship.
I would continue this.
I bear no ill will towards the Sovereign City of Ashtan, even though
many of its citizens have acted towards me and the God who I serve in a
manner to cause all sorts of hostilities. Know that I do not seek to
become an enemy of the City, even as I defend from the ravening attacks
of its poorer citizens. I did not respond to the destruction of the
Shrine in your City (poor form, that) so as to make my position clear.
Even as I have to shake my head in sadness at the decision to follow the
Patronage of a God who would shower His threats upon the world and then
beg the city that asks His protect to do the dirty work of His realm, I
still hold a soft spot for the Glorious Bastion that I have known in the
past. I continue to pray that you as a city might regain that position
once again.
Thus I ask the same in return of you, I shall never enter your streets
with intent to kill or harm your citizens. And the citizens that do fall
my hand only do so as a result of their personal choices, mainly
aggression towards the Lord Smith.
Thank you, and Good Day.
