Your Surrender

Greetings Duane, purported bane of Cyrene
You yourself was the one to bring War to your own doorstep, by declaring
such an act against the Sovereign City of Cyrene. You attacked our
novices and laughed up a storm, you constantly assaulted my citizens and
my family in order to "cause great grief and show what cowards cyrenians
are" by your very own words. This was your actions and your Cause. What
you wanted, in fact. You were even so bold as to include all of the
world in your declaration and your acts.
And yet now you cower deep in the wilderness, or hide behind the Ashtani
Guards, hoping they will feel pity for your weak and cowardly self. You!
The almighty raider of the Mountains.. hiding in a neutral city to avoid
the wrath that you yourself have provoked. You! The one who laughed so
hard when bringing friends to fight the noncoms of Cyrene, who giggled
so hard as you slew a defenseless streetsweeper and then vanished to the
inferno.
What a change of a pace and heart, I must admit. Now I hear you babbling
about the grief you have seen, begging mercy of passing strangers,
declaring that you feel harassed! . How does one feel harassed when in
the middle of a War they declared? This is an odd turn of events in
truth.
Regardless of that and your refusal to publically retract your
statements of War, I shall accept your recent actions and the missive I
bear before me pleading for mercy and the cessation of hostilities.
Since you have not the backbone to say such things in public and to
acknowledge that you have been defeated, I will do it for you.
The City of Cyrene formally accepts your terms of surrender and
cessation of hostilities. You will remain an enemy of Cyrene for all of
your days, but no longer shall we declare your head forfeit. In return
we will accept the items and apologies extended and will continue to
honour this .. peace .. as long as you remain a nameless individual who
bothers not the city and its citizens. Break this agreement and your
head will once again continue to fall from your shoulders.
Feel grateful, for you have gotten off lucky this time, Duane. Test not
the will of the city of Cyrene. Its peoples are united and strong. We
extend this mercy to you once, do not think a second time will happen.
Good Day
Sir Goryllin Dawyn.
