Wealth does not always buy you happiness

Greetings to you as well, Laytron.
It is a pleasure to hear from you finally, and to hear what you feel
must be added to this matter, but unfortunately, nothing you've written
in your post adds a new evidence to support your actions.
True, I was very unhappy that you, and your Leading Council, for that
matter, chose to ignore my request, claiming the shrine in question to
be the property of your House, in fact, calling it 'your' shrine.
As I've already said, not much you have done lately to show you indeed
still hold any faith in my Lord, or His return. If the display of your
devotion, and not being able to do so any more, with that shrine
removed, is what worries you, I am sure you have alternative ways for
such displays, for example, at the location of what is already a part of
your Househall, if you wish.
If the lack of essence that would otherwise go to my Lord is what also
worries you, rest assured, for based on the statistics I had been
keeping track of, essence donated by the members of your House was
mostly totaling far less in overall than the donations from a single
member of the city of Ashtan, for example, save for the time our Order
also had members of your House among our ranks. And true, that
particular citizen of Ashtan was also a member of the Order, but those
are just minor details in this story.
Next, As for Orders surviving with out their Patron or Matron, which are
those Orders you speak of? Maybe the followers of Lady Pandora, Lady
Melantha, Lord Matsuhama or maybe Lord Twilight? They are maybe
flourishing, according to your measures and standards, but from my
experience, being in an Order with no Patron or Matron to guide His or
Her followers is extremely difficult, when it comes to doing things that
are not routine or within the authority of particular member of that
Order. Not to mention how the prolonged absence of my Lord affected the
morale of many of my former fellow Ordermates, making them either leave
the Order on their own, or simply stop caring for the business of the
Order any more.
But I won't trouble you with the problems I have to deal with as head of
Lord Prospero's Order, just to satisfy your curiousity, you might be
surprised to know that I didn't just woke up one day and decided to
disband the Order, It was a decision I made together with the few
remaining active members of the Order, and they all agreed that pitiful
existence the Order was reduced to, despite our best efforts to keep the
Order active and attract new members, was not worthy of our Lord, for I
would rather disband the Order, and found a new one when my Lord
returns, than to try to keep to the remnants of an old, crumbling one.
Until the time you decide to bring something new to this matter, good
fortune to you.
