To the people of Shala-Khulia -
Time and again, my allies and I have attempted to speak with you. Time
and again, we have been given the cold shoulder. Every day, Mhaldor and
the Cult of the Crimson Fang infringes more and more upon the rainforest
the people of Shala-Khulia call home.
The same rainforest that has provided you with food has had trees cut
down and burned. The same rainforest that has provided you with shelter
and supplies has had its very essence stolen from it via extermination
at a Necromancer's hands.
The same priest - loyal to the cult of the Crimson Fang - which helps to
oversee the destruction of the rainforest has cast a blight upon one
section of that same rainforest - harming the area in a way that even
those loyal to Nature cannot repair. The same overseer who brought
slaves to cut down part of the rainforest now stands watch as Khulian
men are forced into slavery. Furthermore, the very same Mhaldorians who
claim to protect you have brought the curse upon your island, thus
draining life from the land itself.
Just months ago, the Khulian people were suspicious of the Cult of the
Crimson Fang. And you had good reason to be! Mhaldor and the Cult of the
Crimson Fang are anything but benevolent. They seek only further their
own causes.
They have deceived you. Where they have told you they are protecting
you, they are merely laying claim to your island and your people - a
claim they have no right to hold.
Where they have told you that they are training your men, they are
enslaving them. If you would but take a walk through the rainforest, you
would see this. If you would but look for yourselves instead of letting
those of Mhalor or the Cult of the Crimson Fang convince you of lies,
you would see that things are not what Mhaldor or the Cult has claimed
them to be.
We of the forestal community and our allies have not laid hand to your
people. When asked to leave in order to gain trust, we have left. We
have done nothing but try to protect the island you call home. Our only
goal is the protection of Nature against those who would defile it.
Even as Mhaldor claims to protect you against us, they spout lies. They
claim we stand in the way of advancement, when we have been more than
willing to work with those who sought to take from Nature to build
within the past. They claim they wish to protect you from us while it is
publically known that Mhaldor's very existence revolves around the
advancement of evil in all its forms. Can you honestly trust those who
seek only to further such a cause?
The rainforest of Shala-Khulia has provided for the people of the island
for longer than I have walked Sapience. My allies and I have great
respect for those who can live alongside Nature, in harmony, for such
lengths of time. Neither myself nor my allies would seek to harm the
people of Shala-Khulia - we only ask that you open your eyes to the real
happenings upon your island.
