Greetings Tenebrus Ninefingers,

I am not a thief by trade, but I am family with many that are. As such,
I feel that your threats upon my brothers and sisters who might wish to
practice independent thievery are threats upon my own person. Now, I
realize that you've spent your time honing your skills as a thief, so
I'll keep this short as to not bore you.

I dare you to take away our independence. I dare you to enforce this
licensing that you are privy to you, and I dare you to even think of
encroaching on an art far more ancient than you or I, or to think of
treading on territory that was tread upon by people much more your
superior.

You might be familiar and used to the idea of total control, but do not
think that it is an overwhelming force that you might be able to use to
enforce your will upon others. Even if you attack and force my family
into joining this petty tea-group of yours, I myself will take up the
trade, independent of your control or wishes, and I will defy you with
every dying breath I give.
