Dragon Tales Writing Contest: Cyrene Celebrates 200 Years!

Good tidings, Sapience.

In celebration of Cyrene's 200th Birthday since our refounding and hosts
an accompanying Blufest to ring in this landmark event, the Cyrenian
Library Committee announces a writing contest to one and all!

The theme for the writing contest will be Dragons. Works representing
any style will be accepted, including poems, fictional tales, historical
stories or essays. Denizen dragons, mythical dragons, dragons from
history, adventurer dragons, combat dragons - anything your creative
mind can come up with is welcome so long as it is appropriate,
representative of this realm and an original work.

Artists are not limited in the amount of pieces they can enter. However,
do keep in mind that if you enter numerous pieces in the same category,
you may end up competing against yourself, in a sense.

Entries must include the title of the piece and name of the author.

Entries should be mailed to Beneficia via delivered letter.

The deadline for entering is the end of Mayan 488, which gives artists
just under a year to enter.

Enemies of Cyrene are procluded from entering the contest.

Failure to meet these criteria will result in disqualification from the
contest.

Judging will be done by a panel of Cyrenian judges.

The grand winners of each category will receive:

First Place - 25 credits
Second Place - 15 credits
Third Place - 10 credits

The Prosperian Athenaeum is located in Cyrene's Lyceum, Cyrene's
esteemed center for learning. It is available to all non-enemies and
currently boasts 112 tomes within five collections. All of the entries
for this contest will be published within a tome to be added to the Arts
and Literature collection. Winners will be highlighted within that tome.

Any organisation or individual who is interested in seeing your own
works showcased within our collection, please do contact myself or a
member of the Cyrenian Library Committee - Lisbethae Etienne, Casana
Etienne, Myrridhin Winterheart, Jenny Wallace or myself.

Please direct any questions about this contest to me.

Good luck to all talented writers!

Hail to the Arts and to Cyrene's 200th!

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Mayan, in the year 487 AF.
