Hail, people of the world.

Beginning this day, and running through until the end of Phaestian 488
AF, the Chosen of Lord Phaestus, the Smith are soliciting entries for
an essay competition. The details will be found below, but I wish to
emphasise that all adventurers are invited to take part, no matter
their allegiances. Good luck!

For the Hammer!

Krans Korinsson
Archivist of the Order of Phaestus

Subject: Entries may take any topic as their subject, provided that it
relates somehow to Lord Phaestus and/or His Realm of Industry.
Note that fictional narrative and poetry will -not- be accepted.
If clarification is desired, please contact me. Likewise contact
me if you'd like to enter but really can't think of a topic.

Submitting: Please mail me your entry (between 1000 and 2000 words in
length) in the form of a letter, and also send me a message
notifying me that you have -- this is to ensure that no entries
get lost. Make sure you sign your letters!

Deadline: Entries will be accepted until midnight on the 25th
Phaestian 488 AF.

Judging: The panel will consist of three members, at least one of whom
will not be a member of the Order. Neither myself nor any of the
judges will be eligible for a prize.

Prizes: At the discretion of the judges, with a guideline of 30
credits for first place, 20 credits for second and 10 for
third. More or larger prizes may be awarded depending on the
number and quality of entries.

The entries will be bound into a book after judging. If you wish for a
copy for your personal or organisational library, they will be
available for a small fee to cover costs. Please contact me.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Phaestian, in the year 485 AF.
