Grok,
You are not helping your case. All who are part of the city council know
how hard you pushed for Aliath's removal a decision which, in the end,
was taken unanimously and with the support of Lady Ourania. A situation
you quickly turned to your own advantage by standing for Aliath's vacant
seat the vacancy you, yourself had helped to create. The truth of that
situation was plain for all to see.
As for the rest, you insult the citizens of Hashan to say they are
expressing their opinions through fear. You know the city as well as I
do the city has never been frightened to express its opinion, and never
will be. It is made of sterner stuff than you would like to believe.
Finally, I am interested that you state that formal trials are not
required, but consideration by the Regents and a formal vote by the
Council constitutes an adequate due process. Prior to casting you out, I
did indeed consult with many of the Regents, and other prominent
members, including all four House Leaders. I will be happy to call for a
formal vote on the Council also on the matter. If the vote goes against
you, I look forward to your agreement that you have no further standing
to object to the decision.
Finally, let me implore you to cease wasting the time of the general
public with this nonsense. The vast majority have no interest in it.
Yours,
Saltaern Sioraiocht, Seneschal.
