The Greatest Enemy

Recent events have shaken both the world of Mortals and Divine alike.
Natural disasters, the awakening of Old Gods, and the spread of Chaos
about the lands have caused many a great deal of pain. The war between
good and evil, while currently not visible, still rages on behind the
scenes. Political turmoil tears city-states apart, and ravages the
morale of it's people. Each of these situations produce the same
reaction, in some form or another. This emotion that I speak of is one
of the most powerful, and can be used to maniupulate and command the
will of men, and perhaps even the Divine, if indeed they are capable of
it.

This emotion I speak of, is fear.

Fear is but another form of mind control. It is how thugs come to power,
and how tyrants hold power. Fear is the reason it is possible for a
master to own slaves, and why those who enforce the law can do so
without opposition. Whether it is fear for their lives, or fear for for
those that they love, fear gives power to whatever it is that one fears.
If one does not fear death or exile, why then should he not be a
criminal, if that is the life that suits him? If a man fears not for his
family, then what power does the threat of their death have over him?
None. Fear is power, and as such, should be handled delicately.

The Chaos that goes on around us has undoubtedly caused fear in some,
and I say to you fight that fear. Allow no one to have power over you.
Everyone has the power to fight, whether it be by sword or song, valor,
or voice. Do this, for if you do not, you will be crushed beneath the
heal of one who likely does not deserve the power that you have freely
given them.

Fear is your greatest enemy. Face it, and fight it.

For those who fear to speak out in fear of persecution,
For those who fear to stand up for what they believe in,
For those who fear the pain of loss

Know this. Fear is your greatest enemy. Do not give it power over you.
Keep safe that what is precious and sacred to you, but always know that
you will have allies.
Take Courage, and wield your sword (or pen) proudly.
