My Sincere Apology

Dear War Minister Markuth and Colleagues,

Firstly, please forgive Overseer Zambuk and members of the Ashtan
military for their recent tours in your city; I'm sure most of us
weren't aware that citizens of Shallam minded such visits, given the
small number of Shallamites who voiced, or rather acted, in protest.
This surely is not your fault, but an honest mistake on our part.

We tremble at the mere idea of incurring the mighty wrath of Shallam,
and I beseech you to calm your holy ire. As a token of our sincerity, I
will most certainly advise the Overseer to exercise more "diplomacy and
tact", as you kindly suggested, during his next visit to your glorious
city.

Furthermore, I feel obliged to counsel the Overseer on the dire
consequences of opposing the Mighty Shallam, for without a doubt the
great armies of Shallam will come with banners of Good and Courage,
utterly obliterating us like you did in the most recent war.

O...I shudder. What horror!

Your most loyal, Morwen

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Chronos, in the year 476 AF.
