Shops in Hashan

Greetings,
It always brings a smile to my lips to see that the Government of
Shallam keeps itself well informed, and doesn't act hastily on half
truths and rumours, and start to post silly lies and ravings on these
boards as so many are accustom to.
Now apparently you are suffering from the illusion that the Government
of Hashan has stolen some shops from some of your citizens, however
nothing could be further from the truth. To separate facts and fictions
I can inform you, and whomever it may concern, that Hashan have merely
closed down the shops, and that they are still owned by the same person
as before they were closed. We even allowed a shop owned by a Shallamese
to change hands, as it was an Order shop, Phaestus I believe. How you
manage to convince yourself that a closed shop is the same as a stolen
shop, I cannot imagine, I mean if you were unable to open a chest in
your house, you wouldn't run around saying someone had stolen your
chest, now would you?
As for why the shops were closed in the first place, you only have to
look towards Rho to gain the answers, as he seemed quite eager to enemy
all of Hashan on behalf of the Church, regardless of the lack of a crime
in the majority of cases. In return Hashan have forbidden any member of
the Church inside Hashan, of course should they set foot here we will
enemy them, as at least one Church member has discovered already. The
closing of the shops is an extension of this, and I must say I doubt
that any other City would allow Organisations or Cities that hold a
hostile attitude towards them to run a business within their walls.
No final decision have been made in regards to these shops, however I am
certain that if some of the shop owners wish to sell their shops,
arrangements can be made. However for as long as the Church continues to
hold as much sway in Shallam, as it clearly does, shops owned by members
of the Church and its closest allies will remain closed.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Ero, in the year 468 AF.
