Citizens of Ashtan,

I was told recently that there is a time when Valour becomes
foolishness. It is with regret that, as the Sultan of Shallam, I come to
recognise that time for us is approaching. As such, I am acting now to
prevent that coming to pass.

Shallam entered into war with your city on the 16th of Glacian, 461 AF.
Following the posting of this missive, some four years later, that war
will end with Shallam accepting defeat.

Militarily, we were outmatched. I accept this, and I acknowledge it.
Shallam will of course continue to oppose Chaos, and all other enemies
of Good, and of Creation, but we accept that for now this battle is
over.

I have met with your Overseer, Erhon, and we have agreed terms, which
will be fulfilled over the following two years.
