Mhaldor Shrines

Wulfen,
Time marches on, but some things never change, do they? I am sure that
Nynae can speak for herself, but as a Hierophant who is not affiliated
with Eleusis, perhaps I can shed some light on the issue.
The ban of Mhaldor-related shrines from the forests is a law that I do
believe is older than modern Eleusis itself. Going even further back,
the ban of shrines relating to Lord Sartan predates the founding of
Mhaldor. As you can see, the argument that Eleusis' bias plays into the
laws of Oakstone chronologically makes no sense. We are quite serious
when we state the sole drive of Oakstone is the protection of Nature.
Something I do remember reminding you about decades ago.
As to why this ban was enacted, there are two historical points that I
will touch on. First, the red fog of Mhaldor. It kills plants and in the
past was not contained to just the island. Second, the founding Divine
of Mhaldor caused a long and painful war, resulting in severe damage to
Nature. You were the one that removed the agreement between Oakstone and
Mhaldor concerning extermination, only strengthening the distrust
between the two organizations.
So why would Oakstone want the shrines from organizations based in
Mhaldor, which gives the power of worldburn among others, within the
confines of the forest? Symbolic reasons aside, they could hinder
forestals attempting to patrol the forest or become a conduit to essence
we do not desire in Nature. As Nynae stated in her message to you, they
are a threat to the security of Nature. And no efforts have been made to
convince us otherwise.
I have nothing against Mhaldor personally. I have even met a few
individuals that care for Nature. However, a couple exceptions do not
counteract the threat as a whole. I am sure there are reasons that I
missed, but I have no desire to debate on the public boards. If you are
concerned about the relationship between Oakstone and Mhaldor, then I
encourage you to set up a meeting with us. However, do come prepared to
share in a dialogue with us rather than searching for soundbites like
last time.
