A Toast to the War

Since the beginning of this 'war', I've come to a vast many points that
I've carefully sorted through, and picked out the very best to post.

As many people as I've seen post here concerning this frolic on the
field of animosity, I've yet to see many that weigh heavily intelligent
or overtly wise. This being said, and taking into account the fact that
the people posting are the more influential of either side's counted
force, I must say that this does not bode well for the outcome of such a
war.

Contrary to my nature as it is to pick sides in a dispute that does not
immediately concern me, I keep finding myself nodding slightly and
agreeing overtly with the reasons behind the outrage of the followers of
Chaos. As this may damn me with the Church, I'll be curt and succinct in
saying this:

Rho, you and your lackeys made a dire mistake. Long I've joined your
warriors on the bridge between Jaru and Shallam, adding my song and
blade to your cause, as at the time, I thought it right. However, you
damn yourself with your actions, and threaten the well-being of the
people you claim to protect, namely the innocents and young of Shallam,
who generally exhibit a great deal more compassion and tolerance for
outside views than you do. You won't suffer for this, no. Your people
will. And that in itself lends credence to my belief that you've lost
your damned mind. Imposing rules on the generality of the Sapience as if
you were inhabited by the Presence of the Logos Himself? You show
hubris. Pride has been the downfall of many causes before your own, and
arrogance rewards itself with loneliness. Whether you 'win' this war or
not, your recklessness will forever be your title.

I, myself, have felt the backlash of this confrontation, in that my
patronage with a Church shopmistress was revoked because I was against
the Church's crusade.

No more will my song brighten the dismal ends of your bridges. May the
Light lead, and you never fail to follow. I just hope it leads you to a
nice, cold, dark pit somewhere, that the world will be rid of your
unyielding intolerance for the freedom of others.

With the kindest of regards,
