Greetings,
Once again I make one of my very rare forays onto the public boards,
however, I could not stand idly by and let the Shallamese hypocrisy
continue unabated. Ryry, you said, and I quote:
Good, however, means to advance yourself, to advance others, to nurture,
and to make life good not just for oneself, but for all. Good includes
respect for life, and a high regard for the well-being others as well.
Now I ask you, how can good include respect for life and a high regard
for the well-being of others as well, while at the same time Shallamese
murderers on their "crusade" are raiding Mhaldor and killing its
citizens? If this is respect for life and a high regard for the
well-being of others then I must be reading the wrong almanacs on the
meaning of words, perhaps the Shallam library has a different set of
tomes than the rest of Sapience? If this is "Good" then I want nothing
to do with it. Going back to my first paragraph, here's the meaning of
one of the words in case your books hold a different meaning:
Hypocrisy - a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or
religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.
Shallam, kindly dismount from your self-righteous high-horse and walk a
path of reality. I love quotes so here are a couple that might assist
you on the path to real goodness:
- Love thy neighbour
- For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your God will also forgive
you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your God
forgive your trespasses.
Sleep well Shallam, I'm sure the world will bend to your tyrany on the
morrow.
