I read over most of the latest round of posts on the subject of Good and
Evil and felt adding my own view. These two forces are quite similar,
and may as well be two sides of the same coin. Now, I know people will
say from both sides that they're nothing alike, but hear me out first.
Evil proclaims itself as a path of self advancement and damn anyone that
get in their way. Good, is actually quite fond of this technique, even
going so far as to declare some forces on the side of Evil, even though
they've expressed neutral stances. Vengeance for example made no
aggressive stance against Good and the Church, until after being
attacked, and is a feeling that can even be known by those of Good, not
just those of Evil. You may claim that you are above Vengeance, yet,
deep down, everyone wants to get back at the thief that robbed them, or
the person that slew them. Despite this, the Church saw fit to brand
Vengeance as evil. Now, another thing that has been claimed as evil, and
at some times, it does have a darker side to it, is Chaos. That doesn't
matter though. The Church and those of Good see both of these and I'm
sure, others, as evil. Vengeance is a passion that burns in all, Good,
Evil, it doesn't matter, you all eventually feel it's fires burn within
you. Chaos is a driving force, a bringer of change, without it the world
would not change and would follow an eternal pattern. Good is no
different from Evil because it wishes to strip the world of things that
don't agree with it. You are no better and no worse than Evil itself.
Embrace each other as two sides of a coin and learn to live with each
other, if not get along. Every force in our world is entwined together
and removing one could unravel the world.
