Warrior's Thought of the Day

There was once a might monk, who was a grand master of his monistary.
His strength was legendary. He was known for delivering quick and
decisive retribution to anyone who wronged him. But it seemed that those
who offended him the least were dealt with the most quickly. Those whose
offenses were more severe, he would wait to strike.

One day this monk was met with terrible offense. His offender was ready
for retribution. Everyone believed that the monk would strike quickly,
but instead he waited. He passed his offender on the street, would shoot
him a fierce stare, and go on his way. This went on for weeks, even
months.

At first, the offender was ready for his fate. But over time, he began
to grow scared of the monk. Having had time to reflect on his actions,
he began to fear death. Each time he would see the monk, or hear his
name spoken, he would grow scared. He could not eat without watching
over his back. One time when doing so, he looked behind him and saw the
monk standing there, but then he just went on his way.

Over the next few months the main went insane, and eventually died of
malnutrition.

One day the monk was asked why someone who so offended him was allowed
to let live. The monk replied "He has not lived a day after offending
me. His body simply did not know it yet. He has lived the last of his
days in the torture of constant fear, and that is the worst pain I can
inflict. It is even more severe than a quick death. He was my most
brutal kill."
