Bain the Failure,
I propose to you and yours the opportunity to come clean of your many
failings. When you failed to attack and slay my friend Spire with two
others, you attempted again. It was then I stood and made sure that no
foul actions were to be taken against him, in the manner of many versus
one.
He dispatched you and your new friends who were swooned into the lust
for battle, unwisely as it was, against your greater adversary Spire. He
stood triumphant and assured me that you had fled, along with your
comrades, back to Mhaldor through a wormhole. It was then that I decided
to join him in Thera to stand beside him and be sure that you did not
attempt again.
You are a creature of habit.
We did discover soon, as our mindnets both told us, that you are
declared to your superior, Quisalis Cypra--that we had been somehow
taking such foul action against the city of Mhaldor that it require her
to assist. So you and yours came, three serpent and one occultist strong
to do battle with two monks.
I inquired as to why, through Quisalis Cypra--and she gave me the answer
"not to touch Mhaldorian wormholes". Devilishly clever, I must
admit--but fouled by this very writ by my hand. Why is it that you have
sought to lie about my standing in combat, of my honor, and the honor of
my own allies to your superiors in order to gain favor?
Neither me nor Spire did touch the wormholes, and you did vehemently lie
to your superior in order to trick her into aiding you in your
meaningless, (and hopeless without a far more capable warrior such as
Quisalis Cypra) taxation of our patience. We were simply defending
ourselves in a manner of speaking, and me more specifically--to ensure
that the battle waged was on honorable terms.
Long had I granted you honorable combat, between just the two of us at
all times--even gone as far as to halt my attacks when you were being
ambushed by another. Thus, over the years, you came to hate me for my
ability. How could a warrior not of Evil best one such as yourself?
Obviously, you are so truly devoted to the Truths of Evil--this was
blasphemy!
Thus, despite all of the many instances over the course of our decade in
knowing each other, you chose to enlist the help of others through
lying. I will no longer tolerate this.
Let all know, Evil, Good, Chaotic, or Neutral, that Bain the Failure is
a liar of the worst sort--he accomplishes nothing but his own defeat, in
the end.
Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Lupar, in the year 448 AF.
