Your concerns

Senator Finchy,
While I may not be a citizen of your fair city, I am a bit
dismayed to see a Senator from Cyrene, the city founded upon
respect for others, posting a letter such as yours, and taking
such an openly disrespectful tone towards the Church and the
Divine of Good.
I cannot speak for the Divine, but in the interest of addressing
the concerns raised by your fellow citizens and yourself, I will
overlook your confrontational tone towards the Church. If you
wish to address any concerns with the Church in the future, I do
hope that we can talk about them in a more cordial manner,
however, and without the need to drag the entirety of Sapience
into the discussion.
I am uncertain exactly what you are referring to in your previous
post, as there have been no new "ring binded additions" to the
Codex. There has been some sharing of information between the
Church and a group of devotion users in your city, however, at
their request. This was done in an effort to help the members of
that group and the citizens of your city to better understand the
Church and its ideals.
This does not mean that I have handed down any new rules or
restrictions for Cyrenian devotionists. While your citizens have
taken a most active role in learning more about the path of Good,
I hold all devotion users to the same standard when it comes to
excommunication, and that standard has not changed recently.
If you have questions or concerns, know that there are many
members of the Church who would be happy to speak with you,
myself included. My door is always open to any devotion user who
has questions or concerns about excommunication, and I am more
than willing to discuss other topics with most anyone, my time
permitting.
Regarding the supposed threats made against Cyrenians, I do not
know who you spoke with, but I can assure you that among the
several Cyrenian citizens I have spoken with recently, I have
never threatened any of them. I am sure you could verify this
with Jhaeli, Dallam, Aerek, or Larthia, all of whom I have spoken
with recently. If such threats were made by another Church member,
then I encourage you to tell me about it, since I have heard no
such complaints of threats from anyone in Cyrene until your post.
As for your other concerns, I believe there is some amount of
misunderstanding here, and I hope that I have cleared some of it
up for you. If you have any additional questions, please contact
me directly.
Thank you,
