To the Citizens of Ashtan,

Today I write before you, not as a Viceroy of Mhaldor or the Messiah of
the Congregation, but simply as Dyzanru de Soulis. I'm doing something
that a de Soulis has never done, and something I am not proud of.
However, I accept complete and total defeat in my personal vendetta
against the Bastion of the North. I do understand that my debt to your
city is beyond comprehension, but from this day forth, I will not raise
an offensive hand towards or city, wether it be personal or in
leadership. Any cause I have on any Ashtan citizen can be considered
nullified. Any rivalries between us absolved.

May no others be forced to face the defeat which I do today,
