To the Houses of Sapience...

Best Greetings!
By now all of the House Leaders have been sent invitations to join the
first ever Mayaween House vs. House Costume Competition, hosted by the
House of the Sylvanic Fellowship and judged by the Creatrix Herself. I
do hope that all Houses will join in this event which we hope will most
entertaining, fun and festive.
The judging will be approximately two months before the actual Holiday
of Mayaween, at the serenade. Location of judging is forthcoming, though
depending on how many people in each participating House joins in it
might be easier for the Great Mother to visit all of our House Estates
individually. Personally, I think it would be most amusing to see each
other's theme and costume. Remember, each House needs to have a theme,
and all members of the House will coordinate said theme. Individual
entries will not be considered. More to come on the judging details!
As of this post, three Houses have sent their formal acceptances -The
Ancient Circle of Druids, The Spirit Walkers, and Ty Beirdd - they are
very brave to take us on, but I'm not surprised that so few would dare.
Not all Houses can be expected to have the courage (or is it
foolishness?) to step up against the Sylvans in any kind of contest.
Truth be told though, I really expected the CIJ to get involved, but
maybe they are bigger sissy nancies than I thought. Hmm.
The Sylvans are your hosts for this event, but if it should happen that
one of you other Houses should win...
Pardon me, I had to pause in writing this post to laugh. Ahem.. anyway,
if that should happen, then the winning House will be presented with a
token of congratulations from the Sylvans. Really though, is not the
bragging rights of being chosen as the best enough of a prize?
Looking forward to a most friendly competition in which my House will
totally kick your Houses arses,
