This will be my last post on this, no matter what. And I want to
apologize to everyone who has drug themselves through these post on a
topic that probably is of no interest to them. But, I figure I should at
least lay things out there as they really are. About 90 years ago, with
a generous donation from Orklanishkal, I started the Revolutionaries of
Chaos--a clan who's goal is to find and bring back to power Lord Babel.
It's not been easy. At first, the Occultists wanted to kick me out,
although I was one of the youngest secretaries in the Guild's history at
the time. But, it seemed to them to be against Lady Eris. I have, we all
have, the greatest respect for Lady Eris. If you were to join the clan
and read the posts you would see this. It's one of our basic rules. With
the help of Reznik, Orklanishkal, Nolar and others we won our right to
speak about Lord Babel in public. We didn't do it by stabbing anyone in
the back, or by hurting them physically--we did it through intellect and
pure debate. In fact, in those days the Occultists considered healthy
debate, and disagreement the strongest point of the House.
Amunet, you say I've changed, but I tend to disagree. I still hold the
true Occultist beliefs to be true. You stay loyal, whether you like each
other on a personal level or not. Your mind is still your best weapon
and it's ok to hold differing view points. The House isn't like that
anymore, though is it. You all of have changed. There is no more talk of
chaos, or rituals, or knowledge. It's all about how much House influence
you can have and who you can sleep with and who you can steal from.
Wonderful, if that's the direction of the House, I wish you well. I hold
no ill feelings toward it. My mark is all over that house and will
stand. I don't think my loyalty can be questioned either. And just for
your information, Amunet, a lot of older Occultists agree with me. They
won't admit it to you, because they know you kick people out at the
slightest disagreement. You actually plotted against another occultists.
An occultists who was HR 11. Who had died for the house, who donated
more karma and shards than just about anyone. You have been plotting
against the Revs for months, and because I try to see the best in
everyone, I just sat back and let you. My fault, not yours. I spent
decades keeping peace between the Babelonians and the House. I even gave
up chances to find Him because of the oath I took. So, let's just lay
out a bit of reality for all of Sapience. I'm sure at least a few folks
are interested.
Solymr antagonized Bluef (at the time a sec in the House and the head
librarian, but you couldn't stand her because she questioned your
authority at times) to the point of harrassment. She had to leave the
house because you wouldn't do anything about it. Yes, I dropped some
pennons in the Pyramid. I apologized for it and said I wouldn't go into
the pyramid again. But, you had it out for Bluef. Why, I'm not really
sure. Probably because she did all of the work--and in truth -nothing-
as gotten done in the house since she left, at least nothing
scholarly--so you blamed her for it. You let Solymr call someone to kill
her, let him watch her die and didn't do boo about it. What a loyal
house? All of you young occultists out there, ask yourselves if this is
the sort of house you'd like to belong to. A place where they will kill
you for thinking for yourself, for hard work, and for being threatening
to a very, very insecure demiurge.
Next, Solymr and Euronymous Prismed into my house with out warning to
pike Montago's head. Fine, I let it go. Although I did lust Bluef away
from those two thugs, whose heads I will cut off myself, I promise, but
I figured I would let the house do it's own thing. I never complained
over ht, even after I got the first two HDFs I had ever had in my entire
career as a House Occultists. In the old days, we didn't do that to the
family of other Occultists, no matter how upset we were. We just had a
bit more respect for each other. Freedom of speech breeds respect, you
see. And strength. There as a reason we were strong then. You can't
blame autoclass. Blame yourself for refusing to get over it. In the old
days, our goal was to spread chaos and if we spread it outside of the
house, all the better. But you've closed yourself up into a ball. In
your tenure, you've lost two former secretaries, two former librarian
heads, a former Demiurge, and I think I've been the head of every sect
there.
I don't want the house as an enemy. I love the House Occultists. You,
however, Amunet are a fool. O cam
I can't wait until the rest of the house gets the guts to oppose your
strong arm tactics. And just so everyone knows, Bluef got enemied for
having something stolen from our house, when she hadn't been in the
realms for month. Her soul was drifting in the halls of Maya because of
a ritual I performed on her. Montago as persecuted out of the house and
then enemied for standing up for himself. I quit before it came down to
it, but not before a HOUSE member stole 600k from another HOUSE member
and the leadership just laughed about it. Nearly 100 years I gave
everything to the Occultists. And this is what I get. Oh well, new
Occultists will think twice before joining and the old ones will teach
the young about how things used to be before Amunet led and conducted
her own Burning times.
I realize this isn't good for the Babelonions. It has probably set our
goal back decades. We'll keep on with our work, like we always do.
Chaos. Knowledge. But at least we'll do it knowing we never purposely
turned our backs or hurt those we had sworn an oath too. Apoll, you cut
the deepest. I like and trusted you. I think my last words to you were,
when I had heard you had betrayed the Revs, "You are a friend and a
House member, I'll take your word on it." I was willing to leave it at
that. I wasn't going to kick you out. Well, I could say a lot more. I
could discredit the House a lot more, but why. Amunet is not the house.
The house will rise again and be great. Things go in cycles. Maybe some
young chaote will once again find solace in chaos and their own mind and
rise up in the ranks to bring the house back to glory. Until then, I'll
continue my work. Leave me alone, is all I ask, or all I've ever asked.
