A Time of Contemplation

Dear Achaeans,
I am known to few of you, but that doesn't mean my words are less
important. Does it?
I was considering my upcoming 75th (3/4 of a century) birthday and came
around to thinking of my years in this wonderful realm. I thought back
to the long-ago days of my youth as a young, ambitious Druid, back when
houses were guilds, you had to be in a guild to acquire skills, and such
other things as Landmarks didn't exist. I've spent many, many years
travelling the world, and the forests in particular, observing the
interactions of my fellow adventurers and friends, and simply learning
about the ones around me.
In this time of contemplation, I have realized just how happy I am to be
here. Despite the feuds of the world powers, and the friends of mine who
happened to be involved. Despite my past problems with commonplace
assassins and thieves. Despite my high times, low times, poor times, and
rich times.
Achaea is my home, and I love it here.
Just thought I'd spread the joy of Achaean life! Perhaps I'll write to
you all again when I reach the ripe old age of 100. I highly encourage
everyone out there to take a second and smell the roses. They really are
quite lovely.
Sincerely yours,
Alchalaris Oloren
