Mhaldor for Pentharian

Citizens of Shallam,

Having watched you flay one another with no small measure of envy, I
feel compelled to tender these few pearls of guidance, despite the
dismissive reaction with which ye swine shall inevitably receive them.

Once in the not-so-distant past, following the glorious purge of your
louder miscreants, we of the West had hoped that the Turtle might
finally be coaxed into extending its neck. You might call us naive, but
there were moments of very real anticipation. Gooseflesh was had by all.

And imagine our open weeping, the gnashing of teeth as your hawks were
thrown from power, replaced in a stunning coup d'etat comprised of the
Who's That of Shallamese political theatre.

But lo, what is this that falls upon mine ears? Could it be? Have we
reason to dream once more of a foe worth fighting? Our warriors so tire
of butchering Cortens but I dare not start them dancing in the streets
without confirmation that the Elysians have returned to power.

We spoil for the fight, ye children of the East. Do not disappoint us
twice.

(Paid for by the "Mhaldor for Pentharian" campaign. All rights
reserved.)

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Daedalan, in the year 431 AF.
