The clarification you requested

Overseer,

Whilst I can understand your annoyance at one of your ministers
approaching me and requesting that Shallam aid Ashtan in the CTF, (a
request I immediately turned down) I feel it does you little credit to
publish a series of untruths to this board. I can categorically state
that I did not approach Ashtan to offer Shallam's aid in the CTF once,
let alone three times.

After another of your ministers approached me with information about
Ashtan's stance in the CTF, I did speak to you very briefly, to see
whether the information given to me by one of your ministers was true or
not. I neither offered Shallam's aid to your city, nor sought aid from
Ashtan, nor did you tell me that Ashtan remained neutral to Shallam.

I do not believe you would knowingly lie to the inhabitants of these
realms, but in future, perhaps it would be wise to check your facts
-prior- to approaching a scribe in order to discuss matters with me on a
public forum.

In the service of Truth
Sir Alban Rian

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Sarapin, in the year 430 AF.
