Clarification request.

Sultan,

Just out of curiosity, who requested Shallam's aid during the game, none
of the leadership here recalls speaking with you during it, and I myself
only heard from you right before the game when you asked what our stance
towards your city would be. Are you confusing it with the three
different times you debased yourself and offered your city up to aid us
before the game commenced? My ministers and archons were rather confused
by the Sultan of Shallam approaching them offering his city to prevent
Mhaldor from gaining the Effigy.

I thought you'd have been more receptive when I told you that we would
be playing for ourselves rather than aiding Mhaldor since that was your
major concern. It was my mistake in the matter telling you that we would
remain neutral with Shallam unless they presented themselves as a
threat. I should've seen the betrayal looming sooner than I did, when
your forces descended upon us at the start. I do have to say I think the
Someone would be pleased to see Their teachings and methods put to such
good use. He always wanted control of the Jewel. Until next time Sultan,
now that we're aware of what we're dealing with we'll adjust
accordingly.
