Compassion you say?

Perhaps you should show some of your own if compassion does indeed have
a place in the "Light". My father is quite possibly the sweetest,
gentlest and most caring man I have ever had the privilege of knowing.
He is one of the few I hold dearest in my heart. But you could not see
what I see. You wouldn't open your eyes or think for yourself, would
never entertain the idea. You let them spoon-feed you poison and hate.
You broke my heart.

Let me tell you of compassion, wayward child. "A deep awareness of
another's suffering coupled with the wish to relieve it." You would not
listen to us speak of the Burning Times. You would not feel nor share in
our pain. You know nothing of what it means to feel compassion.
Sometimes I wonder if you're capable of it.

No. I do not fear Chaos. I embrace it as a part of the Weave, as a
loveable part of the Weave. Do you know the story of the creation of the
Treekin? You and I, we have a lot in common with the Treekin. We are
children of Green and of Chaos. As much as you'd love to be rid of your
ancestory, Chaos flows through your veins as surely as you breathe. The
name you fought so hard to keep is itself stepped in rich Occultic
history. I hope that when you are older you will learn to embrace your
roots or I fear the struggle in your heart will consume you.

I've said all I need to say. You have now and have always known how I
feel. My arms will stand read to welcome you back the day you free
yourself from blind hate. Please, I beg of you, come back.

Love always,
Momma
