Hail Sapience!
A most interesting post, Brinn. It is a comfort to know that the Church
is not devoid of wit and insight.
And yet, your post was, in its own way, confusing and obfuscatory; full
of assumptions and half-truths. An exemplar in fact of the qualities you
attribute to Darkness.
To respond: is it not natural that those who follow a belief, band
together? That knowledge is best advanced, and aims achieved when
surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals? What is the
Church, but this? We yearn for others to walk the Path, as you yearn for
others to join the Church or Shallam or your House that you may better
spread your wisdom. This is not particular to Darkness, but a trait
shared by all organisations bound by a common ideology. You create
conspiracies and hidden motives where there are none.
It is true that the Path will teach you much of power, and the use of
information; traits, indeed, in which no successful career in politics
can be possible. Confusion is also a useful tool in learning Father's
teachings are not simple, and they confuse, initially, but it is in this
state of openness, of mental flux, that ones greatest mental leaps are
made: illumination through the Darkness, if you will.
Your final question: what is this knowledge? It is the mastery of the
self; no more and no less. The mastery of cause and effect; the
reflection of one's mind in the One Mind; the ultimate unity of Knowing,
and Doing in a thrice-blessed state of Being.
We welcome all who seek to know more, who seek to walk the Path. All
that is required is an open mind. Qualities all too often lacking in the
Church, but which you seem to possess in abundance.
Yours, in Darkness,
Saltaern Sioraiocht.
