Montago,
I do not speak much on posts, nor do I have a liking to do so. However,
your views on how "destructive" Chaos and your anology of a Forest
burning in large portions and how it facilitates into new life did perk
my attention.
First off, I'm going to say that as one who once wielded abilities of
Chaos, I do believe it to be some what part of this Realm, however I
would not go as far as to contradict the very mythology that has been
generally accepted by the public for so many years, before you and us
both. I do believe there to be an "enlightenment" through Chaos,
however.. It is one that can consume and drive one to the very brink of
madness.
But I'm not going to lecture you or try to entertain you with such
trivial notions, I will however say that if a forest burns down, it
hardly grows back. Such is the similar effect of an extermination, my
friend. The very idea that good and knowledge can come out of the
destruction of a forest is foolishness and mere folly. If lightning
struck a forest, and we Forestals were lax in getting rid of it (which I
very highly doubt), then such would be Change taking its place with a
natural fire. Although Change would be taking place in a massive fire
and destruction of a Forest as well, it is incorrect to even speak of
such an anology that you used.
To conclude, I'm agitated that you feel that good can come out of the
destruction of a Forest, even if does bring back life, one can look at
the birth of Hashan's expansion and see that kind of effect that it
brought on the Western Ithmia, and how much the spirit there suffered
when the trees were cut and chopped down. There is no good to be found
in the destructive element of Chaos, and I hope that you will realize
that.
Forever in service to Nature,
