Greetings from the Heart of the Vashnars!

The Chancellery is proud to announce that the Merchant's Directory of
Cyrene has recently been reorganized and updated to reflect modern
needs. The continuing purpose of the guide is to be a resource for both
consumers and shopowners, citizen and non-citizen alike. New features
include introductory guides on services such as enchantments, forging
and concoctions. Updated features include a list of all shops in Cyrene
with directions to find them, a list of goods provided by these shops
for fast results, policies that have been added and clarified, and
feature pages of our shops!

All shopowners and managers of shops within Cyrene are encouraged to
take a look and refamiliarize themselves with all policies and
procedures, including the new anti-theft policy regarding shops that was
recently introduced.

Keep in mind that all shopowners and their managers, whether citizens of
Cyrene or not, are bound to the Twelve Tables with both rights and
obligations. As such, part of the new policy clarifies that all shops
are prohibited from selling stolen goods or gleam. As well, all
shopowners and managers are prohibited from stealing from anyone,
anywhere in the realms. This is not new, only newly spelled out in a
specific policy.

The second part of the new policy involves prospective shopowners with a
disreputable background. Former thieves who have put their past behind
them have been granted the removable right to own a shop, provided they
have proven themselves trustworthy. At least thirty years must have
passed with no behavior prohibited by the Twelve Tables, including
theft, for the application to be considered by the Senate.

For more information regarding this policy and others, for quick and
easy help in finding what you're looking for, or for some help in
provided services, the Merchant's Directory can be found at 'Centre
Crossing' and 'Before the Imperial Plaza'. As well, the Chancellery of
Cyrene is always here to provide answers to questions or to listen to
concerns and comments.

May Lord Prospero smile upon you and your business.
