Ai, Mortifer,

Though this is addressed to you, I would like to direct it to Lord Aegis
and all of His followers as well. Recently, you and I had the pleasure
of speaking, and in doing so, you explained to me that the recent rash
of defilings against my Lady's shrines were by no means directed at Her,
but rather in protest of the actions of one of Her followers.

The path of Sin is a path of accountability, introspection and
responsibility for one's actions. It is with a heavy heart that I must
face the fact that one of Her followers, and indeed my own child, could
not appreciate the simplicity and difficulty of this glorious path.
Instead, by her own actions, which were done of her own free will, and
with no connection to the Order itself, she angered many followers of
Lord Aegis, and in doing so, brought War to the doorstep of my Queen.

I trust that you will see that all has been set right, after explaining
the resulting punishment to my child, she failed to see the generosity
of the offer, and chose instead to commit the One True Sin...
self-deception. Seeing no harm or fowl in her activities and resulting
destruction, she chose instead to dismiss herself from our ranks. Sadly,
she did so without ever truly taking the time to heed the lessons of the
Lady.

Please accept this as a public apology, to You Lord Aegis, and to Your
followers, for unwittingly allowing someone to escape accountability and
responsibility for her misdeeds. If you had worries of her finding
further sanctary within the halls of my Lady's Temple, you can now put
them to rest.
