Silinrul, you need to learn a lesson in integrity. Sure, you may be able
to make yourself look like a good person by telling lies, but there's
going to be a certain point in life where it will not work. Credibility
is a valuable asset for any person to have and I believe yours is
running short.
First, you did ask me what the decay time was on a pestilence ring. I
replied that it's decay would come randomly. As I'm sure you know, this
is true of many different enchantments.
Second, I left the realms before you entered the arena. Therefore, as
stated in my previous post, I could not verify that you had purchased or
had problems using the ring. How you had sent me tells complaining about
my product when I was not in the realms? I do not know. Furthermore, as
most, if not all, of my customers will agree, I am very willing to speak
about my products. If I don't know an answer to a question, I will
simply state that I do not know. Under no circumstances will I knowingly
give false or misleading information regarding a product.
Third, I received no message from you when you were in the arena unless
you are referring to the message about how you were going to "sue" me
for selling a product that did not work to you. You provided no details
as to how you attempted to use it or what message you received that
indicated it did not work. Once again, as an enchanter yourself, you
most likely know that many people unknowingly misuse newly bought
enchantments and I incorrectly assumed in my previous post that you were
one of these people. Apologies for that.
As for the aftermath, I feel that shopowners should have full right to
publically defend their shop against PUBLIC accusations against their
shop (in est, your claims on the MARkET channel that The Hot Spot
"scammed" you). Am I to sit silent to the public while you publically
defame my shop with allegations, true or otherwise?
In closing, I completely agree that this issue could have been solved
through less coercive means. However, when you send a message to the
shopowner about how you are going to "sue" them for selling a defective
product (which we've established, it is not) and, instead of waiting for
a reply, decide to spread false word about how their shop scammed you
(which we've established, The Hot spot did not. The Hot Spot sold you a
pestilence ring at 2500 gold, which is what YOU wanted), you leave
little room for the shopowner to act in. I hope you understand that
rash, hurtful, and false comments regarding people or their shops tend
to make them a bit infuriated. Trust me, your comments over the MARKET
channel did affect me in that way.
Sincerely,
Matt Ech'lir
Shopowner
The Hot Spot
P.S. I recently received word that the problem you were having was that
aggresive actions are not permitted immediately outside the arena.
Instead, when attempting to point a ring at someone or something, you
receive the message "You can't point something that you're wearing."
Furthermore, your ring worked fine outside of this room. I believe this
was your problem.
