And Diamondesce... and Everyone else.

There comes times in the lives of the masses here that has their very
selves questioning who they are, what they wish to do with their
existence in this world. Many, many years ago, Diamondesce and myself,
along with others, chose the path of leaving the Kharon to work upon a
guild that would surpass those known to mortals even to this day. A
guild in which there would not be such a thing as 'in-fighting'. A guild
in which we could stand proud and say that we embodied what that guild
was, in every way.

I wouldn't call the Tanjinn a true success, but we did not fail in our
true goal, though. We, along with others, created the Tanjinn, through
blood, sweat, and many tears. We had Guildmasters and Guildmistresses
who were readily available to listen to the young, to guide and teach
them in the Way that is known in -every- monk guild which exists today.
Do not spite us for leaving what we once called home in search of
something better, something we helped to achieve. Not by having our
hopes and thoughts shot down by the 'GuildMaster', but rather heard,
considered, and oft-times, put into effect.

In no way did we reject the teachings of the Way, but rather adapted
them slightly to work with the environment that we chose at that time,
just as each Monk guild in the realm has their own adaptation of such
ancient writings. There are still monks in the realm who hold the -true-
ideals of the Way, rest assured. My question is this, though. Since most
of the older monks are often busy with something or another, only
available for new initiates or perhaps gradings, how are the young monks
learning those ideals? You cannot get such values from journals or
books. It has to be lived, experienced, and embodied into each young
mind of those dreamers that wish to become one of the Enlightened.

For that part, as you had stated Alyssia, all guilds have their own
'Way', their own ideals and teachings that help to mold their young into
warriors their cities can count on. But, as you had stated to
Diamondesce, the scripts had been rewritten over the years. Honestly, it
makes one wonder what part, over time, of those ideals had changed. I
personally think that we should all revert to the 'Old' teachings,
rather than the teachings that had been changed to fit each
GuildMaster/Mistress who saw fit to rewrite such things over these many
years.
