Greetings, Sapience.

For years, I and my company who defected from Vertan have taken
sanctuary in Shallam, Jewel of the East. We owe no little thanks to the
benevolence of the City of Light in our time of need.

We begin now to build a home for ourselves outside the shining walls of
Shallam, on land yet unclaimed by no power. I shall not yet disclose the
location, but once our construction is complete, all shall be welcome to
visit and trade with us. We ask you to bear in mind that despite the
violence of the war that brought us here, I and my squadron opposed the
actions of our people and came here in peace. We remain in peace.

To my refugee brothers and sisters who were left behind on this plane,
but were not so fortunate as we to have found the hospitality of
Shallam: we call you forth to us. Let us begin a new life together in
our adoptive home.
