Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have investigated, and I
appreciate the irritation this situation must have caused you.

City allies are afforded many of the privileges granted to citizens, in
recognition of their service to Mhaldor. For this boon, it is presumed
that city allies will not interfere with Evil's will. Thus, Ainly is no
longer an ally of Mhaldor, and is not protected by City law.

For your health, and as a courtesy, be sure that you warn the citizenry
if you hunt Ainly within Mhaldor. If the merest possibility of a threat
arises, the city's response tends to the indiscriminate and bloody.

Should you find yourself close by Mhaldor in your hunt, it may be
convenient to offer Ainly's corpse within this City. I suggest the
Mhaldorian shrine to the Combat Lord, located on the Circle of
Damnation.
