Ashtan

Hail,

If you are expecting a post about the Orphanage of Ashtan, you will be
disappointed. I simply wish to point out something to the leadership of
Ashtan. A failing of the city, I suppose.

About six months ago, I took a little stroll into Ashtan. I wandered for
a bit, not really paying much attention to my surroundings, or where I
was going. If you had watched me, you would have seen me do nothing
wrong. However, my purpose for being there was announced a few minutes
later by a deathsight: Pikey has been slain by the might of a
magnificent platinum feathered falcon.

For those of you who do not know, that falcon belongs to me. I commanded
him to slay Pikey, because Pikey needed to be seperated from a rather
sizeable group of orphans. Five, to be precise. All of whom I believed
to have been taken from Shallam. That said, I was not entirely correct,
only four of the five "belonged" to Shallam. The fifth, who I brought to
the Choir anyway, "belonged" to Ashtan.

In a rather amusing conversation with Ingo, in which I was called a
newbie murderer several times, I pointed out that I had slain Pikey
while in the city, and "stolen" one of Ashtan's orphans while I was
there. I also told him to enemy me for it. Yet now, six months later, I
can still walk freely into and out of Ashtan.

From the various posts on this board, I have discovered there are two
possible reasons for my lack of enemy status. The first reason, because
Pikey did not file charges against me, nor did the orphan who I "stole".
The second reason, because I told Ingo to enemy me, and of course Ashtan
can't take orders from a "Churchie".

Ashtan, I'm telling you now, on the Public newsboard. Enemy me to your
city for the crimes I committed inside your walls.

But of course, there is a problem. You have publically stated that you
won't take orders about what to do in, or with, your city from a
non-citizen, especially a Shallamese Churchmember. You have also stated
that the victim has to file charges, I'm sure Pikey will be all too
happy to help you there, but of course, if you enemy me, you'd be going
back on your own words.

I'll leave you to ponder on this little dilemna. How can you enemy me,
without looking like hypocrites? How do you not enemy me, without
looking like you care nothing about your citizens "freedom"?

I'll also leave you a question to ponder on. If you truly are about
freedom for -all- of your citizens, why do you claim ownership of some
of them?

And to all those lovely Ashtani that replied to Keturah for Erhon, this
is precisely why you shouldn't. You'll end up with very large flaws,
that allow people like me to put you in impossible situations. But of
course, you don't care, do you?

Comments, questions, replies, death threats, et cetera, can me posted
here, or messaged or mailed to me. Have a nice day!
