Dearest Madus,
I am sorry that you feel like a lost sheep, wandering the pastures of
the Sangre Plains with no other little sheepies to keep you company.
Your story made me very very sad...
But you wander in vain, Maddy-dear. Many houses accept rogue occultists!
The Ebonfist in Mhaldor, I am sure would love to have you. But the
Occultist Guild tends to be a little picky.. they like to separate the
sheep from the goats, and they worry about little things like
intelligence and wit (can you believe anyone could be so backward?).
I cannot pretend to have any knowledge of the history of this realm (who
cares about history after all???), but I think I heard once that the
Churchies believe in order and harmony and stuff.. and the Occultists
use chaos... and that they don't like each other because of that. Or
something. And some Occultists spend so long trying to learn about chaos
that it makes them a little peculiar.. and the Churchies don't like
peculiar people.. at least not out in the open..
I hope that was helpful, dear Madus.. and if you're really feeling bad,
come have tea with me some day! My doors are always open!!!
Ta ta!!!!
