Welcome, dear daughter

Your arrival brings light to My immortal heart, after such a tortuous
emergence. The pure blood of the world flowed out of the springs of the
Forbidden Sea, seeking and nourishing You to the point where you became
a Goddess in form as well as birth. This has pained My rivers, to the
point where little remained but the most impure of waters. This injured
My realm, made My daughters, your sisters, the naiades cry out in pain.
The good mortals who tried to help became sickened from the plague the
filthy waters generated. In the end, however, the realm will be bettered
by Your presence.

And now that you are here, We of the Garden, and more specifically Your
mother Lady Ourania and Myself, welcome you as the young Goddess of
Lakes and Rivers!

And as for you hundreds of mortals who helped in the curing of the
waters, and the bringing of My dearest daughter, you will not be
forgotten. You have the gratitude of the Oceanlord, and a powerful thing
this gratitude can be.

Neraeos Pelagia
Lord of the Sea

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Miraman, in the year 394 AF.
