Greetings all.

While reading through the Mythos, i came accross something that i think
is more then coincedental regarding the Vertani.

During the War of Humanity, the elder gods battled for control over
creation. There were the forces of the Triumverate, and the forces of
the other dieties. One Protius' forces consisted of beings know as the
Mercencaries of Arn, whose services had been negotiated by Prospero's
merchant lords.

This exerpt is taken from the Mythos
"The overlord of this army of mercenaries wan an eight-foot tall
powerful and craft warrior lord of a previously unknown race, called
Grull. He traveled constantly surrounded by an elite guarde called the
Arcanians, composed soley of members of his race, none of whom spoke any
language but their races' own."

There are many similarities here that appear more then coincidental.

The first is the leader, who is known as the overlord. Which is whom the
Vertani leaders in Sapience were known as

Next, he traveled constantly surrounded by an elite guard. This guard
did not speak any language bar their own, much like the Vertani, and i
believe that one of the Vertani houses is composed by great warriors.

Finally, These people were eight-feet tall. now while i don't think the
Vertani are this tall, the may have once been.

It says in the Mythos that after the war ended, Grull and his elite
guard remaind in Sapience and mated with humen women and spawned the
troll race.
and that they died after they lived out their NATURAL LIFESPANS. The
Vertani have claimed that our ressurections are strange and unnatural to
them

Now if these mercinaries were an offshoot to the Vertani race, then
perhaps there is a connection between the Trolls and the Vertani still
within our realm.

Perhaps they came to our realm seeking out their distance cousins?
