Terms and Conditions:

1.) Drawings
1.1) Location
1.1.a) Central Market in Ashtan
1.2) Dates
1.2.a) Draws are held approx every 7 months and dates will be posted in
an AD.
1.3) Method
1.3.a) Each number, 1 through 20, is engraved on a seperate steel ring.
All rings are identical.
1.3.b) Each number is drawn by a random person with no entry or
affiliation to this lottery in the realm during the drawing date and
then given to a second person for confirmation.
1.3.c) Each number is drawn from a top hat artifact.

2.) Payouts and odds
2.1) Prize pool
2.1.a) The Prize pool is begins with 100,000gp and increases with every
ticket sold until a ticket matches 5 of 5 numbers drawn. Once a ticket
matches all 5 numbers drawn and the jackpot is paid, the prize pool
restarts the following drawing with the minimum initial 100,000gp.
2.1.b) Total jackpot amount will be posted and kept updated in an AD in
the form of an estimation.
2.2) Payouts
2.2.a) All prizes are paid from the accumulated prize fund for the draw
that the ticket matches numbers for.
2.2.b) Tickets matching 3 or 4 of the 5 numbers are paid before any
winning jackpot tickets are paid out.
2.2.c) 5 matching numbers pay 100% of lottery fund accumulated and
remaining after lessor tickets are paid. If there is more than one
ticket in a single draw matching all 5 numbers, the prize will be
divided equally between all winning ticket holders.
2.2.d) 4 matching of 5 numbers drawn pays 10% of lottery fund
accumulated and remaining after lessor tickets are paid. If there are
multiple tickets matching 4 of 5, the prize will be divided equally
between all those ticket holders.
2.2.e) 3 matching of 5 numbers drawn pays each matching ticket 1000gp
and is subtracted from the total lottery fund accumulated.
2.3) Odds of winning
2.3.a) Odds of matching 5 of 5 numbers drawn is 1 in 15504.
2.3.b) Odds of matching 4 of 5 numbers drawn is approx 1 in 207
2.4.c) Odds of matching 3 of 5 numbers drawn is approx 1 in 15
2.5) Method of payment
2.5.a) All winning tickets will be mailed with the gold prize included
in the original letter.

3.) Tickets and Purchase
3.1) Method of purchase
3.1.a) Ticket numbers are selected by writing them into a letter.
3.1.b) All tickets will be purchased by letter only.
3.1.c) Purchase price for all tickets on a letter will be included in
the same letter.
3.1.d) All letters recieved that are of the correct format and include
the correct purchase price will be considered purchased and not refunded
unless a draw is canceled.
3.1.e) Tickets may be mailed or personally delivered by hand.
3.1.f) Tickets must be received before the 1st day of the drawing month.
All valid entries received after deadline will automatically be entered
into the following drawing.
3.2) Validity
3.2.a) All tickets must follow the predefined format to be eligible to
participate.
3.2.b) All tickets not in the correct format or containing an incorrect
purchase price will be returned where possible by mail. All other
invalid letters will be humgii'd.
3.2.c) Any letter that cannot be read will be humgii'd.
3.3) Ticket format
3.3.a) The purchaser's name will appear on the first line.
3.3.b) Each of the 5 numbers selected will appear with a space only
between them.
3.3.c) Each 5-number selection will appear seperate lines starting at
the second line.
3.4.d) No extraneous information will be written into the letter.
3.4.e) Example:

You read what is written on an elegant white letter:

Disclaimer:
I reserve the right to cancel the lottery for any draw date or
completely for any reason, at any time. If a draw is cancelled, all
ticket purchases will be refunded by mail in a reasonable amount of
time. Tickets may be purchased by anyone in any quantity. All winners
names may be publicized to promote future drawings. Winners may be
quoted in public or marketing materials.
