Freedom

Lately, there has been some arguement of who is free, and who is not
free. The problem with the arguement is that the sides argueing have not
really pointed out what they see as freedom. I'm going to try to clear
this up by stating what I think of as freedom, and you can disagree with
me if you like, that's your prerogative. I'm not a follower of Vastar by
the way, but the way I see, there are two kinds of freedom, freedom of
choice, which everyone has, and anarchy. Now, there are some differences
between these two, otherwise there would just be a unifying idea of
freedom. Every mortal has the freedom of choice. All they have to do, is
choose, and act to exercise that freedom. Anarchy is word we, civilized
society, and by civilized society I mean all sentient beings, use for
the natural state of things. As a civilization, we abhor the natural
state of affairs. Why is that? It is because we see ourselves as better
than the other creatures of the realm, and seek to control and dominate
our surroundings. If you think this is an incorrect statement, then why
have we created societies, and cities, guilds, and laws for ourselves.
My view may bit abit obtuse, bit I'm rather old and set in my ideas. The
laws we create take away from our natural freedoms, which is the freedom
of anarchy, because it imposes boundaries, but that's alright, because
we as civilized beings, couldn't live in a state of anarchy for long,
without eventually rendering our realm sterile. Now, the freedom of
choice is still what we all have, and it's a socially acceptable idea,
save that one must be careful not to step outside the bounds of
acceptable behavior. So this freedom isn't completely ours either, as
many of us fear the consequences of such actions that others would frown
upon, or get us in trouble. So I suppose to be truly free, one must
simply choose, and act, without fear. But it's something that's not
likely to happen, so I submit that no one is truly free, though we each
have some freedom to varying degrees. I'm apologise if I was boo
