My outguilding

Many of you have heard by now that I have been outguilded from the
Warlocks, kicked out of Ashtan, and enemied to several organisations
such as all of the magi guilds and my former city. I know what I
did was wrong, and I am not writing this to ask for your forgiveness,
but to express my regret for my actions.
First of all, I will apologize to my guildmates. I had many friends
in the Warlocks. Some of you were closer to me, others I was just
beginning to know. For those who knew me well, I always tried my
best to lend a helping hand in the guild. Whether it was answering
a simple question or running to rescue a fallen comrade, I was
there. I know I will miss many of you as we can no longer be
friends under the circumstances. I am sure some of you will miss
me as well. Nothing I say or do will ever allow me to return to
the Warlocks. I abused the trust of many and it is as simple as
that. However, I did return what was asked of me: my key, my rings,
and my crystals. I did not deny any accusations and I gracefully
accepted the consequences. Ask yourselves, am I truly a bad
person for what I have done? If you still believe I am, there is
nothing else for me to say.
Secondly, I must forgive my citymates. I have Ashtan my entire
life. Have I served well? Not particularly. However, I have
always been there to assist where I could. I was a member of your
army and I was present for several of our city's glorious Capture
the Flag victories. I know the crime I commited was not against
Ashtan itself, but these are all part of Ashtan's laws. I am
sorry for any grievances I may have caused as many of you must
have been shocked. Again, there is not much else I can say. If
some of you have a deep disgust for me, nothing I say will change
this. For those of you who have accepted my apology, I hope that
in many years I will be welcome to travel to Ashtan once again.
Finally, I apologize to my proteges. I have tried to teach
you well, and many of you have grown up into fine people. I hope
that I was able to teach you well and you had great benefit from
my teacher. For anybody who is still under my tutelage in the
Warlocks, I understand that you will need a new mentor and I
hope you find many years of happiness in your later years.
As for myself, I am currently contemplating many things. It
is likely that I will join Mhaldor, as I doubt any other city
would accept a rogue Magi and it will not be possible for me
to join another Magi guild. I have given up my old life to
start one anew. Hopefully this one will lead to a better
ending than the last.
