Culling the homes of a significant portion of Sapience's population is a
bit radical as the first response to a shortage. Why not remove the
aging buildings from your cities and recycle the materials into
commodities? They are still part of your community, just as aging trees
are an integral part of the forest, providing shelter for wildlife and
nourishment for a younger generation when they do die.

If you are truly in desperate need, I suggest you look for an alternate
solution first. For instance, you might prevail upon the various
ministers of trade around the continent to refrain from hoarding
commodities. As for price increases, look also to those who routinely
purchase all the commodities sold in Tasur'ke, Ulangi and the Aalen,
forcing the prices higher.
