Greetings to the Gods/Goddesses and all of Sapience,

My name is Tirell, Runewarden and citizen of Cyrene. I have slumbered
long and have awoken to find Sapience in a troubled hour.

The brief post that Berenene made speaks to the heart of the matter.

Although we control our destinies, our lands and futures are subject
to the whim and desires of our Gods/Goddesses. Time and time again,
our history bears this out.

I do not believe it is different for the Vertani.

Although we may not know the final purpose of each of our
Gods/Goddesses, they do speak through their people and their overall
goals and purposes are made known so that they may gain followers.

We do not know much about the God of the Vertani. We do not know his
goal and purpose of the Vertani, towards Sapience.

At the meeting in Cyrene, the not-Hingar replied that he was
uncertain as to their God's intentions and directions for their
involvement and purpose towards Sapience. I am understanding, from
his words, that the Vertani priests may hold this knowledge.

I believe this is an oversight of ours that will doom us - if the
Vertani are to be our friends, we must understand their God. If the
Vertani are to be our enemies, we must understand their God.

I respectfully ask the various Order members to think upon these words
and to learn and share what they know of the Vertani God. I ask that
each citizen of Sapience inquire to the Vertani priests of their God
and his purpose towards this land.

I respectfully again ask Hingar and the priests of Vertan to share
the goals and directions of their God towards us and Sapience. What does
your God say of the destruction of Thera? What does your God say towards
the warfare that exists? Does your God ask you to war against us or to
reach a peace with us?

I pray to the Gods/Goddesses of Sapience, in their greatness and
knowledge to lend their knowledge of the Vertani to us.

Finally, I lift my voice and pen in plea to the Logos himself.
Please, oh mighty Serapis, lend us the knowledge and wisdom to
understand what you know and see regarding the Vertani. Why have you
allowed the destruction of Thera? And will you aid us, your children,
in this time of trouble?

It is a prayer I have been making daily. I shall continue to make it.
