Vertani and Thera (My unpopular view)

Heylo everyone!

Already i have presented my view to many people, and each time i get
different reactions so i am not going to be surprised if i end up
getting hate messages. *grin*

My first point was on the lack of bodies in Thera
Everyone has been claiming that the Therans were slaughtered, and yet i
(and i don't think anyone else either) has seen dead positive proof that
the Mayor was not the only one killed. Many people stop and say, "How
could they escape what happened? Didn't you SEE it?" To this i say, "No
i didn't, and neither did many of you."
Some people may know of somethign called the Dun War. If you know me
then you more than likely know of it, cause it is one of our lands great
tales of valour and history thati love to relate at my shows. For thos
that don't remember, the Tsol'aa village in the Aalen forest was
attacked and completely destroyed. There were corpses, yes, proof that
people had been killed, but there were many bodies missing as well.
These people later turned up alive and well, hiding because they were
afraid of being killed.
Why could this also not be the case with the Therans? Have people TRIED
looking for survivors?

My second point is a bit more...for once i don't have the right word,
but i am sure you'll understand when you see it.
I in no way mean to put words in Hingars or any of Vertanis mouth, but
it seems to me that while people killed Therans all the time, they
always came back. The Vertani seeing this, may have thought it a good
lesson to teach these people. Who is to say they were not expecting the
people to come back? I mean past cases have shown they come back, why
would it be different for the Vertani?
That means that either the Therans DID come back (See point one), or
there is something odd about the vertani that means they can't
harmlessly slay denizens like normal Achaeans can. Who is to blaim them
if they find this the hard way?

Now i in no way shrug my shoulders and say, "Oh well, so sad. Let's go
kill somewhere else." or "So a village was destroyed, so what!?" NO. I
too do not like the fact that the village was destroyed. I dislike the
fact, and believe a better way could have been found, because that
village meant the livelihood of all that lived there. It meant their
homes, past, present, jobs, and memories.

Finally i am sorry if i have upset anyone whether Achaean or Vertani,
and again i am saying these are my own thoughts and in no way do i wish
to put words in anyone elses mouths. I have always been one that tried
to be neutral on all cases until given a LARGE and obvious reason not to
be. The Vertani have yet to show me one except for a lack of
understanding for our world and how the may effect its denizens.

Be safe everyone, and think with open minds.

Sincerely,
Blackharp

P.S. I am sorry if it appears jumbled..my scribe was having a bad day
when i asked him to compose this, and i am not sure if he wrote it out
as i would like to see it shown.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Miraman, in the year 386 AF.
