The lands of Sapience belongs to it's peoples.

Greetings,
Many groups feel that they have not been given great personal offense by
the Vertani. There comes a point, however, when we must put aside
personal concerns and consider the greater welfare of Sapience and,
ultimately, our survival as the dominant race on this continent.
Very little happened at that meeting before it erupted into chaos, but
Hingar did make an important statement, both for his group and for us:
he intends to make the Vertani a permanent presence in Sapience. He
intends to make el'Jazira and Tasur'ke parts of the Vertani empire.
The conflict between good and evil has always been a conflict between
the peoples of Sapience, and no matter who wins in any conflict, we have
the knowledge that the victors will be members of a Sapient race. This
is not the case with the Vertani. The Vertani come from another plane,
strange to us, which we cannot visit. We know little of them.
Although the territorial claims of groups on Sapience might shift, we
know that the lands of Sapience belong to it's people. We know this
instinctively, and it is something that we know more deeply than, for
example, that 'the lands of Ulangi belong to the Grooks.'
Concerns of alignment and ideals of various groups are made petty by
this concern, that Sapience be the domain of the mortal races.
We must overcome our distaste, and work with our traditional enemies. If
they are our enemies in other (not unimportant) facets of our lives,
they are surely agreed on this point: that the lands of Sapience belong
to it's peoples. As long as this first sovereignty is threatened, we
must unite and defend it.
