Shallam will not be attacking the Vertani for the time being. Our
position may change when we are able to speak with the Vertani or from
not speaking to them.

Shallam offers its Palace and city to the refugees of Thera and all
other villages who feel that they are being suppressed or could be
slaughtered by the Vertani as well as by adventurers. Please have your
village leader speak with a member of the Council so that you may be
shown in and given refuge.

Shallam offers its condolences to the Vertani for the loss of your
Overlord as we understand that he is very important to you and can not
easily be replaced.

Shallam grieves over the loss of Thera and its citizens. As a whole,
Thera was not evil and the death of so many innocents begrieves us. They
were a casualty of a war that they were the ally of an enemy.

The Vertani attacked a village who would not offer surrender as an enemy
offers to his enemy. I will not justify, I'd rather condemn, the
genocide of an entire village based on alliances, however, if met with
opposition, I am sure that many of us would act with such crushing force
if available.

Hingar, I asked to speak to you shortly after your last post and I have
not received an answer. I am sure that you were simply flooded with
tells following your post. I ask that you meet with a Vizier of Shallam
so that we can discuss this fully.We do NOT condone your slaughter of a
city of innocents. It was the elimination of an enemy, and
strategically, as the soldiers of Thera could only be used against you
and many would have died on both sides.

I know this will anger many of you and I will receive many messages.
Before posting, what Shallam discussed was a lot clearer. I will be
posting again with my replies to the comments as well as Shallam's
adapted position on the basis of the meeting.

Shallamese will not be allowed to join the clan bent on the elimination
of the Vertani, so please do not invite us.

In summary,

Shallamese will NOT fight the Vertani at this time.

Shallam requests a meeting with the Vertani, particularly Hingar.
