How much is a soul worth

Greetings everyone,

How much is a soul worth? It's an interesting question and I thought I'd
enter this debate on a philosopical level.

It's very nice to say we're all worth the same, or a soul has no value
but I'm afraid I see that as slightly simplistic. Value increases with
uniqueness. If I say want a Quasalis Mark assassin, their soul is
considerably more valuable to me at that moment than non-Quasalis Mark
assassins, and I'm essentially "buying" their soul for a short period of
time whilst they excute services rendered.

Of course I'm not buying their soul literally but then as far as my
mortal mind understands it, neither is Lord Prospero. He wants a
particular person and the abilities, skills, and value of the
relationship that comes between them.

No, the defining factor in the value of a soul is pure knowledge, and
how you can use it. Looking at this objectivly, if you had to sacrifice
a number of people to save the others, who would you get rid of? It's
brutal, but an essential. There's a definite argument that as the one
who decides, the souls have a value now, rendering the argument everyone
value is equal or simply how they perceive themselves rather useless.

I would not like it, but I would get rid of those with the least
knowledge of how to cope with the situation, highening my chances of
survival.

That's not your common everyday occurance of course, but I belive
knowledge is the best measure of how much a soul is worth.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Phaestian, in the year 385 AF.
